Yannick Brunet

Background: I originally come from France. After two years in Paris, I moved to Marseille to complete my B.S. at the Aix-Marseille Université. In 2010, after graduating a Master degree, I joined the Laboratory of Eric Cascales at the Institut de Microbiologie de la Méditerranée (IMM, France). The focus of my thesis work was to characterize the expression, assembly, and function of the Type VI Secretion System (T6SS) in the pathogen enteroaggregative Escherichia coli (EAEC) strain 17-2. I obtained my Ph.D. in July 2013.

My current work: I joined David Rudner’s lab in January 2014. I am currently interested in characterizing the mechanisms underlying cell wall assembly and homeostasis in Bacillus subtilis.
